These are vertically mounted, vaccuum tube solar collectors on the Salt and Brygge building in Western Harbor. Vaccuum tube collectors are more expensive than flat plate collectors, but also have higher efficiencies. Because of the tube's construction the mounting angle is not critical, making these ideal for wall mounted as well as roof top installations. (photo by Hamilton Hazlehurst, Vulcan)
