Although residents of Copenhagen have a very high standard of living, many rely on bicycling for daily travel as it is frequently the fastest and most convenient way to get places within the city. Unlike the typical American cyclist, who dresses specifically for cycling, Danes simply view bicyling as another form of eneryday transportation. Baskets, and even bicycling trailers, are often filled to overflowing with the the day's groceries or other purchases. (photo by Jim Mueller, Vulcan)
